LA CASALINGA

Casalinga’s atmosphere has a home feeling to it. It’s great for almost any Tuscan dish you can think of. It’s a good dinner and lunch spot for large groups, dates, or family affairs. One of our favorites is the pasta with rabbit sauce.
COCO LEZZONE
Location: Via del Parioncino, 26R
Located in the heart of the historic center of florence, this restaurant offers a trattoria atmosphere with an extremely welcoming staff. They pride themselves on their array of traditional Florentine dishes and accurate depiction of a typical Italian meal. Along with the delicious bistecca Fiorentina, they have a perfectly curated menu for their customers.
OSTERIA ANTICA MESCITA SAN NICCOLO
Location: Via di S. Niccolò, 60 r
An old tavern in the San Niccolò district in Florence where you can order traditional Tuscan home cooking and many dishes fully dependant on the season. You can sit both indoors or on the street that leads to Forte Belvedere.
IL MAGAZZINO
Location: Piazza della Passera 2
Whether you’re in the area or not, Il Magazzino is a must go. Locals love to dine here and order the tripe and lampredotto or intestines.. It’s always good to try new things when traveling and Il magazzino is the place to start! If you’re not a big fan, they are also known for the rest of their curated food and wine menu.
OSTERIA TOSCANELLA
Location: via toscanella 36
Located in a not so touristy street, this osteria opened in 2009 as a family business. Their motto is all about balance, proportions and the right ratio. They take this into consideration when preparing their simple dishes done well.
BUCA MARIO
Location: Piazza Degli Ottaviani, 16R (near the Santa Maria Novella Station)
This place is great for a fancier night out. They are very accommodating for larger parties and offer larger cuts of fiorentina steak to be shared. They also carry many other delicious menu items that will suit the whole family.
FIASCHETTERIA NUVOLI
Location: Piazza dell’Olio, 15
Very close to the duomo and in this restaurant you can eat seasonal Tuscan specialties like liver crostini, cold cuts and pickles, tagliatelle with meat sauce, fried chicken or brain, ribollita, and also stuffed zucchini or roast suckling pig.
CUCINA TORCICODA
Location: Via torta 5r
On via torta or literally ‘cake street’, Cucina Torcicoda is on one of the less busy streets of Florence but very well situated and right next to piazza Santa Croce. Torcicoda offers a pizzeria with a wood oven as well as a gourmet restaurant with the best Florentine steak, a full bar and a cantina with over 300 wine labels.
BADALI
Location: Via dei Renai 11r
Osteria Badali theme is all about the earth and the environment. Their kitchen concentrates on slow cooking and precise, contrasting flavors. They say they don’t innovate new flavors but simply make a traditional meals flavors stand out.
